7 June 2012 OLYMPIC TORCH Thursday

Gosh! What an incredible day, albeit rainy, the weather did not dampen the high spirits of anyone as we all gathered in the main street of Magherafelt for a glimpse of the Olympic Torch on it's way amidst the relay!!!!
The 2 hour wait was well worth every minute in the hype and excitement.

In addition, our landlord/hosts invited us to participate in a photo shoot with one of the official torch bearers, Patsy Forbes, a 74 year old, who is still an active athlete.  To top it all, as you will see in the photo, we were totally privileged to actually have our hands on The Olympic Torch for the London 2012 Olympics!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!  Do you know how many people have had the honour of holding THE OLYMPIC TORCH since it's inception in Greece??!!
