Just down the road today to Tintagel. On the way we had a few quick stops at Fairy(!) Cross, Clovelly and Bude, none of which had anywhere for tea. Our first real Cornish pasty for lunch in Tintagel - not so grand really. Far down into Treknow Valley to The Mill House where we are the only guests. Lovely warm and welcoming owners and staff with a fair few friendly locals and their dogs, who frequent the pub. A wonderfully lazy afternoon and evening in front of the fire updating this blog!!
The Mill House is set within 7 acres of woodland, nestled deep in the leafy valley leading to the thundering surf and sandy shores of Trebarwith Strand. Built in 1760 using local slate quarried from the surrounding cliffs and operated as a working corn mill until the 1930's.
