29 December 2011 VALE DE LOBO Thursday

I do believe this is the most grocery shopping the boys have ever done with us, it's not usually a family event.  However, it does mean that certain food groups are given priority that wouldn't usually feature on the shopping list at all.  Having said that, it was Greg (! Yes, Greg), who refused to allow any of the three of us the pleasure of buying a cake of any description for a last pigging out before the New Year.

Lunch barbeque's are such a treat because the patio area is drenched in sunshine that is not too hot, just perfect.  After warming up in the sun and by the fire, the pool is right next to us and is equally warm to soak in for a while.  Well, sort of soak, if the boys don't land on us when they jump in from the balcony, or spray us with gigantic waves - which is fun when you don't get to do it too often.

Tonights game of monopoly ended with Al and I bankrupting our boys (serves them right for near-drowning us in the pool), and Al taking the final victory!  I tried to get a decent photo of the 4 of us playing monopoly and this is what came out....

It makes our family feel so young again with such old fashioned fun going on.  I highly recommend it!
